5.3.4.3 Shear modulus

The shear modulus G is the specific change in shape for pure shear stress with pressure from all sides. Expressed as a formula, G = / ( = shear stress, = shear angle).
A figure of about 1/3 of the modulus of elasticity can be expected for ceramics.
